The NPS Offers flexibility to investors in terms of Asset Classes and Investment Choice
ASSET CLASSES
Asset Class E (Equity Market Instruments) – High Return, High Risk
The investment in this asset class would be subject to a cap of 50%. This asset class
will be invested in index fund such as BSE Sensitive and NSE Nifty 50 index.
Asset Class C (Credit Risk bearing fixed income instruments) – Medium Return, Medium Risk
This asset class will be invested in Central Government and State Government Bonds.
Asset Class G (Government Securities – as defined in offer document) – Low Return, Low Risk
Liquid Funds of AMCs regulated by SEBI
Fixed Deposits of Scheduled Commercial Banks
Debt Securities
Credit Rated Public Financial Institutions /PSU Banks
Credit Rated Municipal Bonds/ Infrastructure Bonds
